Interdisciplinary performance bringing together contemporary dance, music, dramaturgy and light.

KOLLEKTIV | ELEVEN is an interdisciplinary performance collective working across contemporary dance, music, dramaturgy and light design. Based in Germany’s Ruhrgebiet and Bergisches Land, the collective develops stage works through a collaborative process in which movement, sound and space are conceived as interconnected elements.

Founded by choreographers and dancers Lara Pilloni and Julia Monschau, the collective brings together artists from different cultural and artistic backgrounds. Its work explores states of uncertainty, perception and transformation, creating performances in which physical movement, musical composition, text and visual space continuously influence one another.

Álvaro Severino is responsible for music, composition and sound design, developing original musical material as an integral part of the dramaturgical and choreographic process. Rather than functioning simply as accompaniment, sound becomes an active component of the performance, interacting with movement, space and the evolving structure of each work. His work with the collective includes ELEVEN | ELEVEN and THERE | WHERE.
