Atardeceres toscanos#1 oil on board 13x19cm Oil painting is a medium that brings me immense satisfaction. Its flexibility, the richness and depth of its colors, and the texture that comes to life under the palette knife—it’s almost addictive. After a long time without working in oil, I decided to return to it after doing some studies in gouache. For this exercise, I set out to experiment with the palette knife, aiming to combine the spontaneity and fluidity I love in watercolor with the intensity of oil. This is the first in a series inspired by my time in Italy, where I’ve tried to capture the essence of those landscapes that left a mark on me. I hope you enjoy it. These studies will be available in my Shopify store starting in October. In the meantime, feel free to check out my collection of original watercolors, already for sale.
